I did not order any food during this visit so I can only share about service, atmosphere and beverages. The service was fast. The bartenders were attentive and patient with questions on a really busy night. Atmosphere was clean and inviting. The crowd was lively so conversations were loud but not overbearing. It really felt like a popular historic bar you'd find in the city. There is a fantastic drink menu with very different cocktails and flavors you find everywhere else. I tried the "drink like a writer" cocktail and do not enjoy it. I wanted to try something different, but this was outside of my familiar. It was well crafted in front of me, but the Haitian rum mixed with coffee bitters did not feel smooth going down. It wasn't a bad drink, just not a combination I enjoyed. I would absolutely return to this bar, maybe when it's less busy so I could explore the beverage flavors with the guidance of the mixologists. Overall, good experience.
We dropped in on their first night open and were blown away. Everything about it has the makings of what will likely be our favorite go-to spot in Hudson. The vibe was stylish but casual, buzzy, and warm. The cocktails reminded me of The Maker lounge but with a twist. And the shining star was the food — I really believe it’s hard to have great drinks, great ambiance, and stellar food at the same time but they have done it. We ordered both the trout and the pork belly as well as the salad and the bread. I will always judge a place by it’s bread and butter and this was farmer’s market quality. The salad was a last minute add but actually surprised me — chips on top! Pork belly tasted like crispy bacon on the outside and was melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. I told myself I had to write this review because I need this spot in my life forever. GO!!!
We checked out the Hereafter in Hudson last night for our Anniversary Dinner and it was so good! Amazing cocktails, wonderful selection of small plates and that bread was out of this world. I have never had bread that good, I guess the bakery moved out of NYC due to high rents and found a new home in Hudson. Absolutely amazing 😍 Take the short ride and try it out, you won't be disappointed! All I can say is Peanut Butter Mole Pie 😋😋😋
A must for cocktail lovers but not intimidating for a casual pop-in or nightcap either. My standout cocktail recommendation: Old Town, each sip reveals new layers of brown butter-washed whiskey, sherry, and Armagnac. While the cocktails shine, what truly sets this place apart is the food. The chicken vol-au-vent was rich and satisfying, and the pork meatballs packed bold, punchy flavors, (all made with local ingredients). Service is cool but personable - it’s just an easy place to hang out, and their menu is always evolving so I’ll be back to try what’s next!
Hereafter is an incredible cocktail bar right near the park — vibes on vibes. It’s not a speakeasy, but it has that classy, elevated feel. The drinks were fantastic. The Hellcat packed a serious punch (and a real kick of spice!), while the Marigold Weather was the perfect contrast — sweet, light, and super refreshing on the palate. Jeremy behind the bar is awesome — talented, personable, and makes the whole experience even better. And seriously, don’t miss the warm bread. Christ have mercy, it’s delicious — and for just $8? Absolute steal. Cannot recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back!
Gorgeous well appointed bar. Bartender Amanda was attentive and gave excellent local recs. I was solo and enjoyed simple snacks as my entire meal. The bread, olives, and Serrano ham were stellar. Definitely cozy and worth a visit!! Plenty of quiet space on a Tuesday night.
Really great spot for creative and classic cocktails/beer/extensive whiskey list and delicious snacks!. Really cool and chic vibes. Terrific bartenders! We also ordered olives, Serrano ham and tinned mackerel toast. All fantastically delish!
Cool place with a cozy vibe and amazing food! The menu looks small but the flavors are big - and compliment whatever that fancy cocktail is that you order too. There are a few beers available too. But definitely eat. Go with a few friends and order a bunch of stuff and share. You’ll love it!
